Identify the queue you are in
The official 0.1.2 notes describe a connecting state after Join, followed by your server queue position. That differs from the controlled game-login waves described in the September launch hotfix. Record which screen you reached so a server queue is not mistaken for a failed login.
Check the date of the service notice
Read the official Steam announcements and compare the stated maintenance window with the current time. A September launch incident or the announced 2 October maintenance is historical evidence, not proof of an outage today. If the notice applies now, wait for the developer’s follow-up before repeated retries.
Complete the client update
Close WARDOGS, let Steam finish any pending client update (including Season 02 Update 0.2.0, released 15 October 2026), and launch once. The launch hotfix explicitly returned updated players to a login queue. That historical sequence explains why an update can involve another wait; it does not promise how current queues will behave.
